Ugly Art!

I am feeling a bit better, but am going to bed early. I will be back to the usual schedule tomorrow. Until then, I will be lazy and leave you with another installment of my series on ugly art: a diseased-looking religious icon attributed to Duccio di Buoninsegna. (click to enlarge in order to best appreciate) Posted by Hello

I can confirm: Yep, it's ugly. Why is the child pushing at the mother's face like that?

And why does that little adult-shaped baby look like a mean-spirited businessman with an adult expression? I know I'm a poor artist and couldn't do better, but couldn't even a bricklayer back then determine that stuff was mighty poor work?

Apt title!!!! Thank goodness you are not posting any of my paintings here. (Don't reply, "not yet" lol.) This is a hoot.

Wow, L. This pic will be haunting my sleep as I will be contemplating the man-child's fascination with whatever is in the woman's nose and also why she is groping him... Wonder if Michael Jackson has a copy of this? It would fit nicely in a dark corner on the wall of shame.

Keep those ugly paintings coming! I will have to see if I still have the JPEG of one of the most horrific paintings I've ever seen. Will email it to you if I do. It is like a train wreck, you know it is horrible but you can't stop looking at it.

Hope you are feeling better!
